Our success as a company is only possible with our talented employees. This month we get to know Marc, a UX Architect here at Angus Systems!
What is your education and background?
I have a bachelor’s degree with honours in Computer Science and work experience in the field.
What is your role at Angus Systems and what are your main responsibilities?
I have been working at the company for about two years in my role as a UX Architect, dealing mainly with the back-end development of our Property Website product. I update old sites, create new ones, and migrate components to the new sites. Part of my work includes appealing to new clients as well as handling a small portion of marketing of our Property Websites.
What do you like most about working at Angus Systems?
It’s nice to work for a company that is constantly expanding, where everyone is very motivated and friendly.
What are some of the things you’ve learned while working here?
I’ve worked on my communication skills and learned more programming skills.
Is there some contribution that you’re proud of?
So far the biggest contribution I’ve made is to the Property Websites of one of our largest clients. They have needed several Property Websites and will need more. The template that I have contributed to developing will help many of our future clients and help to automate our development processes.
Is there something that people would be surprised to know about you?
I can draw fairly well. Mostly cartoons, but anything I put my mind to I can draw.
If you weren’t working at Angus Systems, what would you be doing?
I would probably be doing similar work at another company.
What are some of your personal hobbies and interests?
I’m definitely a video gamer. Currently, one of my main pastimes is conceptualizing and producing 3D prints. I like taking care of my dog and two cats, as well as drawing and reading.
