The Justin Eves Foundation for Students with Learning Disabilities

Posted: November 06th, 2018 Posted In: Community Involvement

This month, we present The Justin Eves Foundation in our Community Partner Series.

The Justin Eves Foundation (JEF) is a not-for-profit organization that financially supports Ontario post-secondary students with learning disabilities through providing bursary awards. The Foundation was created in 1996 in memory of Justin Eves, who passed away in 1995. At the time of his passing, he was a college student, who navigated the educational challenges that come with having dyslexia, a learning disability.

“Supporting The Justin Eves Foundation is fulfilling because it provides young people with learning disabilities the chance to attain a great education and reach their career goals.” – Chris G., Angus Systems

Since 1996, JEF has distributed over 400 bursaries and scholarships to students in the province. The awards assist in ensuring that recipients have the same opportunities for post-secondary success as their peers and help with the costs of tuition, specialized software, tutors, and note-taking support. Angus Systems has been a proud supporter of the Foundation since 2006.
