In early October, the team at Angus Systems began collecting donations for the Moorelands Kids’ Baby Bundles program, which provides low-income families in Toronto with the basic essentials for their newborns. The bundles are distributed at no cost to mothers in need identified by Moorelands Kids and its 18 partner agencies (including public health nurses and social service workers).
“Contributing to the Moorelands Kids’ Baby Bundles was an easy decision, as a father of two I know first hand the amount of basic supplies needed to care for newborns. You simply can not have enough diapers, lotion, and onesies!” – Matt C., Senior Account Executive
This year’s donation drive wrapped up last week and received overwhelming support thanks to the generosity of our warm-hearted staff. The team collected numerous boxes of diapers, baby clothing, and essentials such as lotion, soaps, towels, washcloths, soft toys, and more.
“If I can help others, it is my pleasure to do so. We can all forgo an expensive coffee or lunch to help others. I know a little goes a long way!” – Sylvie, Implementation Manager
We are thrilled to support a great program in our community and to see what started as a one-time donation drive in 2016 evolve into an annual charitable initiative!
“Everyone should have access to living essentials, especially children. That is what compelled me to participate in the Moorelands Kids’ Baby Bundle program, and it makes me feel better at the end of the day knowing the first few months of a child’s life can be made better!” – Kitty, Senior Developer
