Fario, Client Support Representative

Welcome to another edition of our Employee Spotlight series. Today we get to know Fario, one of the newer members of our Support team!

What is your education and background?

I have an educational background in computer science and electronics. This technical background helped me understand the functions of Angus AnyWhere quickly.

What is your role at Angus Systems and what are your main responsibilities?

Basically, the Support team is the front line for our clients, so I handle all kinds of inquiries relating to the product from basic to very technical questions. As a member of the Support team, I am responsible for responding to clients and escalating inquiries to the proper departments.

What do you like most about working at Angus Systems?

It’s hard for me to pinpoint what I like the most because from day one I was impressed by the people here. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful. I love my job, and I love that there is a productive management style. I like every aspect of my job, but if I had to highlight one thing specifically that I enjoy about working here, I would say it’s the people. Also, our clients are great!

I think everyone is very mature and we’re working well as a team to achieve something greater. I see a future for myself here. I can say that I step out of the house with a smile on my face on my way to work. And that counts for me.”

What are some of the things you’ve learned while working here?

I learned the true meaning of “selfless team work”, in which the entire company strives to provide excellent service and support. Everyone steps in no matter what, to assist in achieving our goals by working together. I learned that once you give all you got, without expectations, the reward comes back to you one way or another. This is the spirit and the culture in our company, and I think it is also a principle that can be applied to life in general.

Is there some contribution that you’re proud of?

I’ve had quite a few compliments that were brought to the attention of senior management – these compliments came from our clients and have been about how I’ve stayed committed to helping them clear up issues, even when it takes some time to reach the final resolution. Also, I am very proud to hold the champion title for a previous year’s company table tennis tournament!

Is there something that people would be surprised to know about you?

I’m working on a film scenario at the same time that I’m writing my autobiography. It’s something that I’ve been working on for a while now. It highlights the adventure and the changes in my life from moving from my home country to Canada. It’s a blend of philosophical thinking mixed with other topics such as religion and politics. I’ve also incorporated some fiction into the story lines.

If you weren’t working at Angus Systems, what would you be doing?

One of the few things I would want to do is be a real estate agent. I also would love to open a chess club.

What are some of your personal hobbies and interests?

My interests include playing chess, going to the gym 3-4 times per week, and getting together with family and friends. I like watching movies and reading books – my favourite genres are history, suspense, adventure, and philosophical aspects of life. I’m a music lover, and I listen to any genre.
