The snow’s not falling yet but that didn’t stop our team from making a little Christmas Magic happen.
Last week clients from across Canada and the United States joined us in Toronto for our much anticipated client Focus Group meeting.
One very generous client, who had planned to stay in Toronto post-Focus Group for a mini vacation, donated to our team passes to four special events taking place in and around the city. We decided to pass the kindness forward and organize an impromptu raffle in order to raise funds and awareness for Moorelands Community Services and their Christmas Sharing program – an adopt a family program for families in need.
Over $150 was raised for Moorelands Christmas Sharing and one generous employee, Rick R., went so far as to donate his prize back with a request that it be given directly to a family.
There’s joy in giving!
About Mooreland’s Christmas Sharing Program
Every year during the holiday season, Moorelands offers a uniquely personalized way to reach out to families in need through its Christmas Sharing Program. The program serves families whose children have attended Moorelands Wilderness Camp in the current year (2016).
Moorelands links donors with a family that needs support and provide gift-giving guidelines, information about the number of people in the family, the children’s ages and favourites (e.g. colours, music, authors, games) to ensure that gifts will be useful and cherished. Donors then go shopping and deliver the gifts to Moorelands, who organizes times/dates for the families to pick up their gifts. Learn more about the Christmas Sharing Program.
